Toronto Transit Commision meets, May 18

The Toronto Transit Commission meets this Thursday, May 18 at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

The commission is the TTC’s board of directors. It oversees matters of policy and planning, building, maintaining and operating the TTC system and expanding its services and facilities.

Commissioners include City of Toronto councillors and members of the public.

During the meeting, the commissioners will discuss, among other items, staff reports recommending:

  • changing the TTC bus network to support the subway extension to Vaughan. (You can read the report here. (.pdf))
  • changing TTC bus routes to support Renforth Gateway Station on the Mississauga Transitway. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • changing TTC service standards. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • entering into agreements with Metrolinx and York Region to advance planning for the extension of Line 1 northward to Richmond Hill and for the relief subway. ( (.pdf))

The commission also will consider:
