Evans Avenue level crossing repairs:
TTC detour, May 26 to 29



The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Evans Avenue between Wickman Road and Kipling Avenue

this weekend to accommodate Canadian Pacific Railway crews who are maintaining the Canpa Subdivision tracks at the level crossing of Evans.

From 8 p.m. Friday, May 26 until 4 a.m. Monday, May 29, the TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 15 Evans; and
  • 315 Evans - Brown’s Line overnight.

From 8 p.m. Friday, May 26 until 4 a.m. Monday, May 29, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Evans Avenue and The East Mall, then detour:

northward along The East Mall;
eastward along The Queensway; and then
southward along Kipling Avenue to Evans,
resuming their regular route eastward along Evans.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Evans Avenue across from The East Mall, at Gamma and North Carson Streets, Treeview Drive, east of Bellman Avenue, across from Wickman Road and at Kipling Avenue.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on The East Mall north of Evans Avenue and at The Queensway,
  • on The Queensway beside #1611 Queensway, across from Atomic Avenue, at Algie Avenue, across from Vansco Road and at Kipling Avenue and
  • on Kipling Avenue south of The Queensway.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • beside #400 Evans, at Wickman Road, across from Bellman Avenue, Treeview Drive and North Carson and Gamma Street and at The East Mall.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Kipling Avenue north of Evans Avenue,
  • on The Queensway across from Queensway Lions Court, west of Vansco Road, across from Algie Street and at Atomic Avenue and
  • on The East Mall at Evans Avenue.
