The City of Toronto is closing:
- Wellesley Street West between Bay and Yonge Streets
all day tomorrow, Saturday, June 17, as contractors lift a crane at a construction site.
The TTC is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:
- 94 Wellesley.
Buses are also detouring east of Yonge Street at the same time during the Church - Wellesley Village Festival. The TTC may decide to combine the two detour routings, in which case, the buses will skip Yonge Street and detour via Bay, College, Carlton and Jarvis Streets.

From 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., Saturday, June 17, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Wellesley Street and West Bay Street, then detour
southward along Bay;
eastward along College Street; and then
northward along Yonge Street to Wellesley,
resuming their regular route eastward along Wellesley East.Eastbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Wellesley Street West at Yonge Street.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Bay Street south of Wellesley Street West and at Grosvenor Street,
- on College Street at Yonge Street and
- on Yonge Street at Alexander Street and Wellesley Street East.
Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.
Westbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Wellesley Street West at Bay Street.
Instead westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Yonge Street at Grosvenor and College Streets,
- on College Street at Bay Street and
- on Bay Street at Grosvenor Street.
