Uptown Core area construction:
Oakville Transit detours start June 19



Starting Monday, June 19, the Town of Oakville is closing:

  • Oak Park Boulevard, eastbound lanes,

just south of Uptown Core Terminal, as contractors connect the sewers for a nearby development.

Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the lanes are closed:

  • 1 Trafalgar;
  • 5 Dundas;
  • 19 River Oaks; and
  • 24 South Common.

Construction near Uptown Core terminal and the Oakville Transit detours continue until June 25.

5 Dundas

From Monday, June 19 until Sunday, June 25, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Taunton Road and Hays Boulevard, then detour:

eastward along Hays; and then
southward along Trafalgar Road to Oak Park Boulevard,
resuming their regular route southward along Trafalgar.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Taunton Road south of Hays Boulevard and at Oak Park Boulevard and
  • on Oak Park Boulevard at Trafalgar Road.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Taunton Road at Hays Boulevard.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route.

19 River Oaks

From Monday, June 19 until Sunday, June 25, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Taunton Road and Hays Boulevard, then detour:

eastward along Hays; and then
southward along Trafalgar Road to Oak Park Boulevard,
resuming their regular route southward along Trafalgar.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Taunton Road south of Hays Boulevard and at Oak Park Boulevard and
  • on Oak Park Boulevard at Trafalgar Road.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Taunton Road at Hays Boulevard.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

From Monday, June 19 until Sunday, June 25, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Taunton Road and Hays Boulevard, then detour:

eastward along Hays; and then

resuming their regular route southward along Trafalgar.
