Starting Tuesday, July 4, the Region of York and the Town of Richmond Hill are closing:
- Bayview Avenue [Regional Road 34] between Glen Meadow Lane and 19th Avenue
to accommodate a regional project to improve the roadway under the Canadian National Railway bridge. (The work is part of a longer-term project to widen Bayview between Stouffville Road and Elgin Mills Road West.)
GO Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the road is closed:
- 61 Richmond Hill / Toronto.
York Region Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the road is closed:
- 91B Bayview.
Construction on Bayview Avenue and the GO and YRT detours continue until September 30.

From Tuesday, July 4 until Saturday, September 30, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Stouffville Road and Leslie Street, then detour:
southward along Leslie Street; and then
westward along 19th Avenue to Bayview,
resuming their regular route southward along Bayview.Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.
Buses do not skip any stops along the route, but passengers should expect longer travel times of about five minutes.

From Tuesday, July 4 until Saturday, September 30, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bayview Avenue and Stouffville Road, then detour:
westward along Stouffville;
southward along Yonge Street; and then
eastward along 19th Avenue to Bayview,
resuming their regular route southward along Bayview.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Bayview Avenue across from Forest Ridge Road and Summit Trail Drive and at 19th Avenue.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Yonge Street at Jefferson Sideroad, Townwood Drive, Tower Hill Road and south of Tower Hill Road and
- on 19th Avenue at Rochester Hill and Delisle Streets
Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.
Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Bayview Avenue at 19th Avenue, Summit Trail Drive and Forest Ridge and Stouffville Road.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on 19th Avenue across from Delisle Street and at Yonge Street
- on Yonge Street north of 19th Avenue, south of Jefferson Forest Drive, at Jefferson Forest Drive, across from Townwood Drive and Jefferson Sideroad and at Stouffville Road and
- on Stouffville Road east of Yonge Street and at Bayview Avenue.
