Islington Station bus-terminal construction,
July 8 to August 14

TTC crews are repairing deteriorated areas of the bus terminal at Islington Station during several weekends:

  • 4:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8 until 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 10;
  • 4:30 a.m. Saturday, July 22 until 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 24;
  • 4:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29 until 4:30 a.m. Monday, July 31; and
  • 4:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12 until 4:30 a.m. Monday, August 14.

During this project, the crews chip away the old concrete, mix new concrete and perform other tasks that nearby residents may hear.

By repairing the bus terminal, the TTC is making sure that buses can continue operate safely to and from the station. Crews must complete this project weekends, since they work across the entire bus terminal. The new concrete also requires enough time to cure before the TTC can re-open the terminal for to regular bus service. For this reason, crews work “around the clock” from early Saturday morning to early Monday morning.

Passengers can still access Islington Station, but you must exit from, or board, buses on the street outside the station. Signs and customer-service representatives help direct you to bus stops.
