Starting 11:30 p.m. tonight, Friday, July 7, the City of Toronto is closing:
- Queen Street West between Bay and Yonge Street
to accommodate contractors who are installing a new pedestrian bridge linking CF Eaton Centre with the Hudson’s Bay Queen Street store.
The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:
This phase of construction to install the pedestrian bridge and the TTC detours continue until 5 a.m. July 10.
501L Queen / Long Branch

501P Queen / Park Lawn
From 11:30 p.m. Friday, July 7 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 10, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Queen Street West and Bay Street, then detour:
southward along Bay;
eastward along Adelaide Street East; and then
northward along Yonge Street to Queen,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queen East.Eastbound buses skip their regular stop
- on Queen Street West at Yonge Street.
Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Yonge Street at Richmond and Queen Streets East.
Westbound buses operate along their regular route to Queen and Yonge Streets, then detour:
southward along Yonge;
westward along Richmond Street West; and then
northward along Bay Street to Queen West,
resuming their regular route westward along Queen.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Queen Street East at Yonge Street and
- on Queen Street West at Bay Street.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- on Yonge Street at Richmond Street West.
