No Barrie line GO trains north of Aurora,
this weekend, August 5 and 6

GO Transit is operating buses, instead of trains, along the 65 Barrie line between Allandale Waterfront and Aurora GO Stations this weekend, Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6.

While this section of the line is closed to trains, GO says it’s working “toward bringing two-way, all-day service to the Barrie corridor.”

GO is cancelling the southbound trains that usually leave Allandale Waterfront at 8:04, 8:48 and 10:10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Instead, the trains start their trips in Aurora GO Station at 9:49, 10:33 and 11:48 a.m. Southbound trains leave Aurora and all stations south at their usual times and end their trips in Union Station at 10:41 and 11:25 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.

GO is operating buses along the 68C branch of the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route to replace the trains. Southbound buses leave Downtown Barrie Terminal at 8:04, 8:48 and 10:10 a.m. They end their trips in Aurora GO Station bus terminal at 9:18, 10:33 and 11:48 a.m. so that passengers can connect with the southbound trains.

The northbound trains that usually end their trips in Allandale at 6:03 and 11:25 p.m. and 12:25 a.m. end, instead in Aurora at 5:17, 10:39 and 11:39 p.m. Buses operating along the 68C branch of the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route meet the trains in Aurora. They leave at 5:25, 10:47 and 11:47 p.m. They end their trips in Downtown Barrie Terminal at 6:55 p.m. and 12:07 and 1:07 a.m.
