TTC installing PRESTO fare-gates
at Kipling Station, starting August 28

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

Kipling Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and high gates and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Crews start working at the main entrance Monday, August 28. They’ll work in two phases until “the beginning of November” or until about November 10.

A temporary PRESTO card reader will be available beside the station collector during both phases of construction.

Crews start working at the Aukland Road bus-bay automatic entrance Monday, August 28. The TTC is closing the entrance from 10 p.m. Monday, August 28 until 6 a.m. Thursday, August 31, while crews demolish the current entrance and turnstiles.

When construction ends, you can only access this entrance with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card.

Crews start working at the St. Albans Road automatic entrance Thursday, August 31. The TTC is closing the entrance from 10 p.m. Thursday, August 31 until 6 a.m. Sunday, September 3, while crews demolish the current entrance and turnstiles.

When the TTC re-opens this entrance Sunday, September 3, a temporary station collector will be available at the entrance.

When construction ends, you can only access this entrance with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card.

To buy a PRESTO card, visit the Gateway Newstand in Kipling station or prestocard.ca.
