GO revises routes and services, September 2

GO Transit increases train service along the 65 Barrie line and improves several bus routes, starting Saturday, September 2.

GO is introducing more Monday-to-Friday rush-hour trains along the Barrie lines — and more coaches on busy trips along the line — starting Tuesday, September 5.

It’s extending the paths for buses operating along the 19 Mississauga / North York and 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill routes so that they operate along the eastern leg of the Mississauga Transitway. (The buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops in Dixie Transitway Station and at Skymark Hub in the Airport Corporate Centre. The buses will serve the Renforth Transitway Station, instead of Skymark Hub, later this fall.)

It’s significantly increasing service along the 12 Niagara Falls / Burlington, 29 Guelph / Mississauga and 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill routes and offering 24-hours-a-day, everyday service to and from Toronto Pearson International Airport along the 34 Pearson / North York and 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill routes.

Changes to the 65 Barrie train service results in further changes to connecting bus routes — 63 King City / Toronto, 65 Newmarket / Toronto bus and 68 Barrie / Newmarket. GO shortens all Monday-to-Friday trips along the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route to operate only as far south as East Gwillimbury GO Station. However, it’s also extending the path for buses along the 66 Newmarket / North York express route to operate to and from East Gwillimbury.

With the start of the fall / winter academic term at post-secondary institutions, GO also increases service along bus routes serving colleges and universities, including:

  • 25 Waterloo / Mississauga;
  • 29 Guelph / Mississauga;
  • 45 Mississauga / York U;
  • 46 Oakville / York U;
  • 47 Hamilton / York U;
  • 48 Guelph / York U;
  • 51 Pickering / York U;
  • 52 Oshawa / York U;
  • 54 Markham / York U;
  • 88 Peterborough / Oshawa;
  • 90 Lakeshore East bus;
  • 93 Durham College / UOIT / Scarborough.

GO is revising service along these routes and lines: 11 Niagara-on-the-Lake / St. Catharines; 12 Niagara Falls trains; 12 Niagara Falls / Burlington; 16 Hamilton / Toronto express; 18 Lakeshore West bus; 19 Mississauga / North York; 21 Milton / Toronto; 25 Waterloo / Mississauga; 29 Guelph / Mississauga; 30 Kitchener / Brampton; 32 Brampton Trinity Common / North York; 33 Guelph / North York; 34 Pearson / North York; 36 Brampton / North York express; 45 Mississauga / York U; 46 Oakville / York U; 47 Hamilton / York U; 48 Guelph / York U; 51 Pickering / York U; 52 Oshawa / York U; 54 Markham / York U; 60 Wonderland; 63 King City / Toronto; 65 Barrie trains; 65 Newmarket / Toronto; 66 Newmarket / North York express; 68 Barrie / Newmarket; 88 Peterborough / Oshawa; 90 Lakeshore East bus; 92 Oshawa / Yorkdale; 93 Durham College / UOIT / Scarborough; 96 Oshawa / Finch express.
