Buses replace streetcars on Bathurst, Kingston Road,
add extra service on King, starting September 3

Due to an ongoing shortage of vehicles, the TTC continues to operate buses along some of its streetcar lines.

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, September 3, buses, instead of streetcars, operate along the entire 511 Bathurst route.

Buses continue to replace cars along the 502 Downtowner and 503 Kingston Rd routes, partially due to streetcar-track construction at Queen Street East and Coxwell Avenue.

Starting Tuesday, September 5, the TTC again operates buses along the 504 King route to supplement the regular streetcar service Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Meanwhile, streetcars return to serve passengers travelling along the central part of the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes tomorrow, Sunday, September 3 and low-floor, accessible Toronto Flexity cars start operating along the 512 St. Clair route, also tomorrow.
