Update — Monday, October 30, 10:55 p.m.: Construction continues “until the end of November”, or *until November 30.
The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.
Dundas West Station is next.
Starting Thursday, September 7, TTC crews are removing turnstiles and high gates and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.
The TTC is closing the collector booth and fare line into the station during construction. You can’t buy TTC fares from the collector booth, but you can access the TTC pass-vending machine at the entrance to the station to buy a Metropass.
The TTC is setting up a temporary entrance into the station through the bus bay. A station collector will be available to collect fares. A PRESTO card reader will also be available beside the station collector during the construction.
Buses operating along the 40 Junction route and Wheel-Trans vehicles pick up passengers at temporary stops in the station terminal.
Crews are installing the new fare-gates at Dundas West Station “until the end of November” or until November 30.
