GRT 2018 service plan consultation meetings:
September 13, 18, 21, 27, October 3, 16, 18

Update — Monday, *October 16, 5:57 p.m.*: GRT is postponing the October 18 event due to the Ontario college faculty strike.

Grand River Transit proposes major changes to its bus route network in 2018 — when the ION light rail transit line starts serving Kitchener and Waterloo.

The transit agency wants your input on its proposals. GRT intends to introduce new routes and revise or extend current routes so that bus passengers can connect directly to ION stations. Buses operating on most routes follow more direct paths and operate more often between major destinations. According to GRT, “Aligning routes to support a grid network will help to make travel more efficient” in Waterloo Region.

You can learn more about the proposals and share your feedback, as GRT hosts public consultation centres:

The events take place:

GRT is also setting up displays at Charles Street and Ainslie Street Terminals, with forms that you can complete to submit your comments.

You can learn more about the 2018 service plan and the routing proposals, including maps of the entire network and all new or revised routes, here.
