TTC installing PRESTO fare-gates
at Scarborough Centre Station

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

Scarborough Centre Station is next.

Starting Thursday, September 28, TTC crews are removing turnstiles and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Crews start working at the main entrance Friday, September 29. They work on the project in two phases.

During the first phase, you can enter the station through a temporary station collector aisle or through the usual collector aisle.

The TTC is closing the collector booth during the second phase of construction. You can’t buy tickets, tokens or TTC passes from this station during this phase. You can only enter the station at the main entrance through a temporary station collector aisle.

A PRESTO card reader is available during both phases of construction.

Construction at the Brian Harrison Way automatic entrance starts Thursday, September 28.

The TTC is closing the entrance 11 p.m. September 28 until “the middle of January” 2018 or until January 19. When crews finish working, you can only access the entrance with a TTC pass or PRESTO card.

Construction at the GO Bus Terminal automatic entrance starts Monday, October 2.

The TTC is closing the entrance 11 p.m. October 2 until “mid-November” or until November 17. When crews finish working, you can only access the entrance with a PRESTO card.
