TTC installing PRESTO fare-gates
at York Mills Station, starting October 11

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

York Mills Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Starting Wednesday, October 11, crews work at the main entrance. Passengers enter and exit the station only through the collector-booth aisle.

A PRESTO card reader is available during construction.

The TTC is closing the Old York Mills Road automatic entrance from 11 p.m. Wednesday, October 11 “until the middle of January” or until January 19.

When crews finish working at this entrance, you can only access it with a PRESTO card.

To buy a PRESTO card, visit the Gateway Newstand in York Mills Station or prestocard.ca.
