TTC installing PRESTO fare-gates
at St George Station, starting October 12

The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

St George Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.

Starting Thursday, October 12, they work at the Bedford Road entrance. They work in two phases. During the second phase of construction, the TTC will close the collector booth. You won’t be able to buy tickets, tokens or TTC passes from this station while the booth is closed.

A PRESTO card reader is available during both phases of construction.

The TTC is closing the OISE automatic entrance from 11 p.m. Monday, October 23 “until the middle of January” or until January 19. When crews finish working at this entrance, you can only access it with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card.

To buy a PRESTO card, visit the Gateway Newstand in St George Station or prestocard.ca.
