The annual Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon totally disrupts all transit services in downtown and central Toronto Sunday morning and afternoon. It also dominates the list of special events affecting transit services in the Greater Golden Horseshoe Area this weekend.

Other, smaller events interrupt regular transit services in Barrie, Brampton Guelph and the Lindsay area of Kawartha Lakes.

It’s also closing many other streets at various times from 4 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday to accommodate the annual event, including:

  • in the west end, streetcars operate between High Park and Lansdowne Avenue.

These regular eastbound route 506 stops have no transit service from 7:30 until 11 a.m. Sunday, October 22:

resuming their regular route eastward along Wellesley West.

  • on Ossington Avenue at Hepbourne Street,
  • on Harbord Street east of Ossington Avenue, at Crawford and Grace Streets, Manning Avenue, Bathurst Street, Brunswick and Spadina Avenues and St. George Street,
  • on Hoskin Avenue beside Wycliffe College and
  • on Wellesley Street West beside the Ontario Legislature and east of Queen’s Park Crescent East.
