TTC installing PRESTO fare gates
at Sheppard - Yonge Station, starting December 8



The TTC continues to install new PRESTO fare gates at more stations.

Sheppard - Yonge Station is next.

TTC crews are removing turnstiles and replacing them with new, PRESTO-enabled, paddle-style fare gates. The new gates provide easier access and improve the flow of passengers into and out of stations.


Crews start working at the main entrance Friday, December 8. Passengers enter and exit the station only through the collector-booth aisle or a temporary collector booth aisle. A PRESTO card reader is available beside the station collector during construction.


Crews work at the Hullmark entrance from 11 p.m. Sunday, December 10 “until mid-March” or until March 16.

The TTC is closing the collector booth at this entrance during construction.

When construction ends you can only access this entrance with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card.


Crews work at the Poyntz automatic entrance starting “in mid-March” or about Monday, March 18, 2018. The TTC will provide more details when it has finalized the date.

Construction at the Sheppard West automatic entrance starts Monday, December 11. The TTC is closing the entrance from 11 p.m. December 11 until 6 a.m. Thursday, December 14.

When it reopens the entrance December 14, you’ll enter the station through a temporary station-collector aisle.

Construction continues “until early February” or until February 9, 2018.

When construction ends you can only access this entrance with a TTC Pass or PRESTO card.


Construction at the Harlandale automatic entrance starts 11 p.m. Thursday, December 14. The TTC is closing the entrance “until mid-March” or until March 16, 2018.
