  • Brant Street, between Ontario Street and Lakeshore Road from 6:30 until 11 a.m.,
  • James Street, between Brant and John Streets from 6:30 until 11 a.m. and
  • Lakeshore Road, between Elizabeth Street and Eastport Drive, from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m.

Saturday morning.

Burlington Transit and the Hamilton Street Railway are detouring buses while the streets are closed.

  • on Brant Street at Caroline Street.

Outbound buses (heading away from the station) reverse the inbound detour routing.

From 8:30 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 9, inbound buses (heading toward Burlington GO Station) operate along their regular route to John and Pine Streets, then detour:

westward along Pine;
northward along Elizabeth Street,
westward along Caroline Street;
southward along Locust Street; and then
westward along Ontario Street to Maple Avenue,
resuming their regular route northward along Maple.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lakeshore Road at Brant Street and Burlington and Nelson Avenues and west of Brock Avenue and
  • on Maple Avenue north of Lakeshore Road and at Elgin Street.

Instead, inbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

From 8:30 until 11 a.m. Saturday, December 9, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular route to the Canada Centre for Inland Waters, then proceed:

northward along Eastport Drive; and then
eastward along North Shore Boulevard East;
northward along Maple Avenue;
eastward along Ontario Street;
northward along Locust Street;
eastward along Caroline Street;
southward along Elizabeth Street;
westward along Pine Street; and then
northward along John Street to Downtown Burlington Terminal,
ending their trips.

  • on Lakeshore Road beside 944 Lakeshore, across from Omaha Street, beside #1094 Lakeshore, the Halton Region Garage, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Patrol Yard and Joseph Brant Hospital, across from Nelson Avenue, Burlington Avenue and Locust Street.

Hamilton-bound buses start their trips in Downtown Burlington Terminal, as usual, then proceed:

northward along John Street;
westward along Caroline Street;
southward along Locust Street;
westward along Ontario Street;
southward along Maple Avenue;
westward along North Shore Boulevard East;
southward along the access road to the Queen Elizabeth Way and Eastport Drive to the Canada Centre for Inland Water,
resuming their regular route.

  • in Downtown Burlington Terminal,

You can ride any Guelph Transit bus for just $1 Friday, December 8 to the Guelph Storm game against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. — if you have a valid ticket to the game.

You can ride for $1 to and from the Sleeman Centre Friday evening after 5 p.m. by simply showing the Guelph Transit driver your game ticket.

The City of Kitchener is closing:

from Tuesday, December 5 until Tuesday December 12 to accommodate the organizers of the annual Christmas Market as they set up the event, during the event and as they dismantle the event.

Grand River Transit is detouring buses while the street is closed.

From Tuesday, December 5 until Friday, December 8, Monday, December 11 and Tuesday, December 12, inbound buses operate along their regular route to King Street West and Francis Street, then detour:

southward along Francis South; and then
eastward along Charles Street West to Gaukel Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Gaukel.

From Thursday, November 15 until Saturday, December 23, westbound buses start their trips on Cherry Street at Mill Street, then proceed:

southward along Cherry;
westward along Lake Shore Boulevard East; and then
northward along Parliament Street to Mill,
resuming their regular route northward along Parliament.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Mill Street west of Cherry Street and at Trinity and Parliament Streets.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
