Metrolinx continues to prepare for upcoming construction of the Finch West light rail transit line between Humber College and Finch West subway station in the North York and Etobicoke areas of Toronto.

Starting Monday, December 3, crews work in the public right-of-way

  • on Finch Avenue West between Humber College Boulevard and Keele Street

and between the sites of the future Humber College stop and Finch West Station, drilling bore holes and using a hydro-vacuum truck to locate underground utilities and inspect ground conditions at intersections along the LRT corridor. Specifically, the crews are sampling to test water conditions and investigate sediment, to prepare for upcoming LRT construction.

Work zones may temporarily block traffic lanes on Finch West and Highway 27. To maintain public safety and help direct traffic, “paid duty” Toronto Police Service officers will be at each of the intersections where the crews are working.
