Respite shelter at Better Living Centre:
TTC detour starts December 22



The City of Toronto is opening an emergency respite shelter in part of the Better Living Centre at Exhibition Place.

Starting Friday, December 22, the TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, to help clients and staff access the temporary shelter:

  • 29C Dufferin; and
  • 329 Dufferin overnight.

Buses continue to detour until further notice.

Starting Friday, December 23, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Saskatchewan Road / Manitoba Drive / Princes’ Boulevard, then proceed:

eastward along Princes’
north-and westward along Nunavut Road; and then
west- and northward along Nova Scotia Road to Manitoba,
resuming their regular route eastward along Manitoba.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street and Nova Scotia Avenue.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Princes’ Boulevard across from Manitoba Drive and at Ontario Drive (beside the Better Living Centre) and
  • on Nunavut Road beside the Horse Palace.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

Both south- and northbound buses serve passengers at the stop on Nunavut Road.
