Less frequent GO trains, Oshawa to Whitby,
this weekend, February 17, 18, 19

Metrolinx contractors are working on the tracks into and out of the new East Rail Maintenance and Storage Facility this weekend. GO Transit is operating less frequent trains along the 09 Lakeshore East line east of Whitby this weekend to accommodate the work.

Trains only operate hourly to and from Oshawa GO Station Saturday, February 17, Sunday, February 18 and Family Day, Monday, February 19. Trains operate to and from Whitby every 30 minutes, as usually.

Westbound trains that usually start their trips at 11 minutes past the hour in Oshawa will start, instead, at 17 minutes past the hour in Whitby. Eastbound trains that leave Union Station at 43 minutes past the hour end their trips in Whitby, instead of Oshawa.

The westbound trains that leave usually Oshawa at 41 minutes past the hour continue all the way to Union Station. The trains that leave usually Union at 13 minutes past the hour continue all the way to Oshawa.

GO says that, by completing on the new rail facility in east Whitby, it can soon offer Lakeshore East passengers better service and more service along the line.
