Hullmar Drive sewer construction resumes:
TTC detour starts May 8

The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Hullmar Drive between Peter Kaiser Gate and Shoreham Drive

as contractors resume a project (.pdf) to replace the sanitary and storm sewers.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 35A Jane via Hullmar.

Construction on Hullmar Drive and the TTC detour continue until May 29.


The City previously closed Hullmar Drive for this project and the TTC detoured buses from Thursday, October 12 until Friday, December 22, 2017.

35A Jane via Hullmar

From 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 8 until 11 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Steeles Avenue West and Jane Street, then detour:

southward along Jane; and then
westward along Shoreham Drive to Hullmar Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Hullmar.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Steeles Avenue West west of Jane Street,
  • on Peter Kaiser Gate at Hullmar Drive,
  • on Hullmar Drive across from Hisey Crescent [east and west], across from Bamford Crescent and at Shoreham Drive.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Jane Street south of Steeles Avenue West, at Hullmar Drive, across from #4800 Jane and at Shoreham Drive.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Hullmar Drive at Bamford Crescent, north of Hisey Crescent [south] and at Hisey Crescent [north],
  • on Peter Kaiser Gate at Steeles Avenue West and
  • on Steeles Avenue West at Jane Street.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Jane Street beside #4717 Jane, across from Shoreham Drive and at Steeles Avenue West.
