The TTC’s planning staff have surveyed residents in The Junction to find out how they would like to improve bus services in their neighbourhood.
What they learned was that residents wanted:
- Continuous service along Dundas Street West;
- Continuous service along St. Clair Avenue West;
- Everyday service along Parkside Drive.
As a result, the TTC is proposing to revise or extend several routes to provide:
- Continuous service along Dundas Street West between Kipling and Dundas West Stations;
- Continuous service along St. Clair Avenue West between Scarlett and Old Weston Road, connecting with the 512 St Clair streetcar route; and
- Service all day, every day (except overnight) between Sherway Gardens and Keele Station along Parkside Drive.

You can provide your feedback on the proposals by contacting planning staff:
- Call: 416-393-3030;

TTC staff will incorporate your comments and suggestions before it finalizes the proposal. They will present the final version in a report to the Toronto Transit Commission — the TTC’s board of directors — this summer. If the board approves their recommendations, the TTC will revise the routes later this year or early 2019.
127 Davenport
Currently, buses operate along Old Weston, Davenport and Spadina Roads between Townsley Loop (on Old Weston just north of St. Clair Avenue West) and Spadina Station.
The TTC proposes extending the path so that buses also operate along St. Clair West between Scarlett and Old Weston Roads. At Scarlett, buses would loop along Scarlett, Foxwell Avenue and Jane Street.
Buses operating along the extension would replace 79B Scarlett Rd service on St. Clair West between Scarlett and Runnymede Roads and 71A Runnymede service between Runnymede and Keele Street. They would also bolster 512 St Clair streetcar service between Keele and Old Weston Road.
40 Junction
Currently, buses operate along Dundas Street West between Runnymede Loop (on the northwest corner of Runnymede Road and Dundas Street West) and Dundas West Station.
The TTC proposes operating two branches of the route:
- 40A branch: Buses operate along Dundas Street West between Kipling and Dundas West stations.
- 40B branch: Buses operate along Dundas Street West between Jane Street and Dundas West Station. At Jane, buses would loop along Jane, St. Clair Avenue West and Runnymede Road.
Buses operating along both branches would replace current 30 Lambton service west of Runnymede.
30 Lambton
Currently, buses operate along Dundas Street West between Kipling Station and High Park Avenue, then along High Park Avenue and High Park Station. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from mid-May to Labour Day, the TTC extends the path so that buses operate into High Park.
The TTC proposes operating buses only between Runnymede Loop (on the northwest corner of Runnymede Road and Dundas Street West) and High Park Station. Buses would continue to operate into High Park late-spring and summer weekends.
Buses operating along the 40 Junction route would replace 30 Lambton service west of Runnymede.
80 Queensway
Currently, buses operate along two branches. Buses serving the 80A branch operate along The Queensway and Parkside Drive between Sherway Gardens and Keele Station Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays only before about 10 p.m. Buses serving the 80B branch operate along The Queensway between Sherway Gardens and Humber Loop Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays after about 10 p.m. and all day Sundays and holidays.
The TTC proposes operating all buses along the 80A branch (and re-designating it as simply route 80) along Parkside to and from Keele Station during all time periods, except overnight.
71 Runnymede
Currently, buses operate along two branches. Buses serving both branches drop off or pick up passengers at all stops on Runnymede Road between St. Clair Avenue West and Runnymede Station. From Runnymede / St. Clair West, buses serving the 71A branch operate along St Clair to Gunns Loop, just west of Keele Steet. From there, buses serving the 71B branch operate along Runnymede and various other streets to Mount Dennis Garage.
The TTC proposes operating buses only along the 71B branch (and re-designating it as simply route 71) between Mount Dennis and Runnymede Station.
Buses operating along the extended 127 Davenport route replace branch 71A service along St. Clair Avenue West.
79 Scarlett Rd
Currently, the TTC splits the route into two branches between the intersections of Scarlett Road / Foxwell Avenue and Runnymede Road / St. Clair Avenue West. Buses operating along the 71A branch proceed along Foxwell, Jane Street, Pritchard Avenue, Castleton Avenue and Henrietta Street and Runnymede Road. Buses operating along the 71B branch operate along Scarlett and St. Clair West.
The TTC proposes operating buses along just the 71A branch via Foxwell and Pritchard (and redesignating the it as simply route 79).
Buses operating along the extended 127 Davenport route replace branch 79B service along Scarlett and St. Clair. However route 127 buses operate in just one directions, instead of both along those streets: westward only along St. Clair and northbound only along Scarlett.
