Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Ionview:
Overnight sanitary-sewer installation

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Starting “as early as” 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 until 7 a.m. Thursday, March 7 and continuing nightly, crews are installing a 1.8-metre (six-foot) sanitary-sewer discharge pipe

  • on Eglinton Avenue East, centre lanes, east of Ionview Road.

The work supports construction of the LRT “guideway” — the transit-only lanes in the centre of the roadway, including tracks and passenger amenities — near the future Ionview stop.

At least one lane will be available for traffic in both directions along Eglinton East at all times.

Crews work in three stages during this phase of the work. And they work overnight from 9 p.m. until 7 p.m. “for approximately one (1) week” or until about March 13.
