in libraries: March 11 to 15

Metrolinx is getting ready to build the Hamilton light rail transit line between Eastgate Square and McMaster University.


During March break, you can learn more about the project. Metrolinx staff are visiting Hamilton Public Library branches to provide the latest information about the project and to answer any questions.

Monday, March 11

Turner Park Library,
352 Rymal Road East,
10 a.m. until noon.

Getting there by public transit:

  • Inbound Hamilton Street Railway buses along the 26 Upper Wellington route to Rymal Road East across from the library. Cross Rymal East at the signal.
  • Outbound buses along the 26 Upper Wellington route to Rymal Road East in front of the library.
  • Eastbound buses along the 44 Rymal route to Rymal Road East across from the library. Cross Rymal East at the signal.
  • Westbound buses along the 44 Rymal route to Rymal Road East in front of the library.

Getting there by public transit:

  • All HSR buses travelling through downtown Hamilton stop within two blocks of the library: 1 / 1A King, 2 Barton, 3 Cannon, 4 Bayfront, 5 Delaware, 6 Aberdeen, 7 Locke, 8 York, 10 B-Line express, 20 A-Line express, 21 Upper Kenilworth, 22 Upper Ottawa, 23 Upper Gage, 24 Upper Sherman, 25 Upper Wentworth, 26 Upper Wellington, 27 Upper James, 33 Sanatorium, 34 Upper Paradise, 35 College, 51 University.

Getting there by public transit:

  • Inbound HSR buses along the 23 Upper Gage, 24 Upper Sherman or 25 Upper Wentworth routes to Concession Street at Summit Avenue. Walk eastward one block to the library.
  • Outbound buses along the 23 Upper Gage, 24 Upper Sherman or 25 Upper Wentworth routes to Concession Street at East 22nd Street. Cross at the signal to the north side of Concession. Walk eastward one block to the library.
