Eglinton Crosstown LRT - Golden Mile:
Road closure, TTC detour, July 27, 28

Eglinton Crosstown header.jpg

Metrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Crews continue getting ready to build the LRT “guideway” — the transit-only lanes in the centre of the roadway, including tracks and passenger amenities

  • on Eglinton Avenue East at Warden Avenue

near the site of the future Golden Mile stop.

The contractors must reconstruct the pavement at intersections on Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Victoria Park Avenue before they can install the guideway infrastructure.

Starting 5 a.m. Saturday, July 27, crews pave traffic lanes on the south side of Eglinton East, blocking vehicle access to Warden south of Eglinton. The work zone also blocks north-south through traffic on Warden.

Paving the south side of Eglinton at Warden and the resulting TTC service changes continue until 11 p.m. July 28.
