TTC hosting open houses at Leslie Barns and Greenwood Yard, September 21

This Saturday, September 21, the TTC is inviting you to peek behind the scenes at two of its storage and maintenance facilities — Leslie Barns (streetcars) and Greenwood Yard (subway trains) during an open house benefitting the United Way Greater Toronto.

You can enjoy a variety of activities, including guided tours, a silent auction, food, entertainment, access to the virtual streetcar simulator and streetcar rides.

Date: Saturday, September 21.
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Leslie Barns, 1165 Lake Shore Boulevard East and Greenwood Yark, 400 Greenwood Avenue.
Admission: $2 per adult or $5 per family

A free shuttle bus will help you travel between the two venues.

Getting there by public transit

Leslie Barns

  • Line 2 Bloor - Danforth trains to Donlands Station; board a southbound bus along the 83 Jones bus southbound to Leslie Street at Lake Shore Boulevard East.;
  • or
  • Streetcars along the 501 Queen route to Queen Street East and Leslie Street; and walk south or board a southbound bus along the 83 Jones bus route at Leslie Street.

Greenwood Yard

  • Line 2 Bloor - Danforth trains to Greenwood Station, walk 10 minutes south on Greenwood Avenue or board a southbound bus along the 31 Greenwood bus route and exit at Felstead Avenue.
