Hess South Hamilton construction: HSR detours, January 6



From 7 a.m. until noon, Monday, January 6, the City of Hamilton is closing:

  • Hess Street South between Aberdeen Avenue and Markland Street

to accommodate a construction project.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 6 Aberdeen; and
  • 34 Upper Paradise.

6 Aberdeen

From 7 a.m. until noon, Monday, January 6, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Aberdeen Avenue and Queen Street South, then detour:

northward along Queen South; and then
eastward along Herkimer Street to Hess Street South,
resuming their regular route eastward along Herkimer.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Hess Street South north of Aberdeen Avenue and at Herkimer Street.

Outbound buses reverse the inbound detour routing.

34 Upper Paradise

From 7 a.m. until noon, Monday, January 6, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Queen Street South and Aberdeen Avenue, then detour:

northward along Queen South; and then
eastward along Herkimer Street to Hess Street South,
resuming their regular route northward along Hess South.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Hess Street South north of Aberdeen Avenue and at Herkimer Street.

Outbound buses reverse the inbound detour routing.
