McLaughlin Road construction: Brampton Transit detour, starting February 18

Update — Friday, March 20, 1:47 p.m.: BT is temporarily cancelling service along the 25 Edenbrook route during the COVID-19 pandemic. Friday, March 20 is the last day until further notice that buses operate along the route.

Starting Tuesday, February 18, the City of Brampton is closing:

  • McLaughlin Road between Mayfield Road and Wanless Drive

(except for the intersection of McLaughlin with Remembrance Drive) to accommodate a project to widen the roadway from two to four lanes. Contractor crews will also:

  • install culverts;
  • re-align a creek;
  • install storm sewers;
  • install new street lighting;
  • landscape; and
  • pave.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the road is closed:

  • 25 Edenbrook.

Construction on McLaughlin Road and the resulting BT detour continue until September 18.

25 Edenbrook

From Tuesday, February 18 until Friday, September 18, southbound buses start their trips on Wanless Drive westof McLaughlin Road, then proceed:

along their regular route westward along Wanless.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Remembrance Drive at McLaughlin Road, then detour:

eastward along Bramtrail Gate;
southward along Van Kirk Drive; and then
westward along Wanless Drive to west of McLaughlin Road,
ending their trips.
