Weekend events affect transit service, March 6, 7



From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, Exhibition Place is closing

  • Manitoba Drive, westbound lanes, between Nova Scotia Avenue and Canada Boulevard

to accommodate the organizers of Canada Blooms, as they move exhibits for the annual flower and garden event into the Enercare Centre.

From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, March 6 and from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday, March 8, the agency is also closing

  • Quebec Street at Manitoba Drive,

to accommodate the organizers of the Toronto Antique and Vintage Market, as they move exhibits for the annual event into and out of Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Closing the streets affects TTC service along this route:

  • 29C Dufferin.

29C Dufferin

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, March 6, the TTC reverses the loop through Exhibition Place.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Manitoba Drive and Nova Scotia Avenue, then detour:

southward along Nova Scotia;
east- and southward along Nunavut Road;
eastward along Prince’s Boulevard;
northward along Canada Boulevard to beside Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive across from Exhibition Loop and
  • on Canada Drive at Princes’ Boulevard.

Northbound buses start their trips on Canada Boulevard beside Princes’ Gate Loop, then proceed:

northward along Canada; and then
westward along Manitoba Drive to Nova Scotia Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Manitoba.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Canada Drive at Princes’ Boulevard,
  • on Princes’ Boulevard across from Newfoundland Road and
  • on Nunavut Road beside the Horse Palace.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Manitoba Drive beside Exhibition Loop.

From 2 until 8 p.m. Saturday, March 7, the TTC cancels service along the 29C branch of the route. Instead, all buses operate to and from Dufferin Gate only, along the 29A branch of the route.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Saskatchewan Road east of Dufferin Street,
  • on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street and Nova Scotia Avenue and across from Exhibition Loop and
  • on Canada Boulevard at Princes’ Boulevard.

Instead, southbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop

  • in Dufferin Gate Loop.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Canada Boulevard at Princes’ Boulevard,
  • on Princes’ Boulevard across from Newfoundland Road,
  • on Nunavut Road beside the Horse Palace,
  • on Manitoba Drive across from Nova Scotia Avenue and at Saskatchewan Road,
  • on Saskatchewan Road at Dufferin Street and
  • on Dufferin Street across from Springhurst Avenue.

Instead, northbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • in Dufferin Gate Loop.
