Oakville Transit revising services, starting March 23

Update — Thursday, April 2, 4:53 p.m.: Oakville Transit is further revising services, starting Sunday, April 5.


Starting Monday, March 23, Oakville Transit buses operate with a reduced Sunday level of service from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. Buses operate from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

OT is also cancelling senior specials, school specials, Oakville Place and Metro charters.

Real-time bus tracking and the on-line trip planner will not be available. Call 905-815-2020 or e-mail transit@oakville.ca if you need help to plan a trip.


To exercise safe social distancing between operator and passenger as a precautionary measure against COVID-19, OT has implemented new procedures:

  • Board and exit the bus from the rear door. Only passengers with personal mobility devices may enter and exit from the front door.
  • OT has installed a red line on the floor of our buses and blocked off the seats directly behind the operator. Remain behind the red line.

The Oakville Transit administration office is closed to the public until further notice.


For on-demand services - care-A-van and Home to Hub - Oakville Transit has also changed its process, starting Wednesday, March 18.

  • OT is suspending self-serve bookings by web, app and phone until further notice
  • It’s cancelling all subscription trips;
  • Passengers must call the care-A-van office to book all trips but OT will only accept trip bookings as much as two days before the trip.

Mondays to Fridays
  • Buses along these routes operate every 30 minutes from about 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
  • 3 Third Line;
  • 4 Cornwall - Speers;
  • 14 / 14A Lakeshore West (every 30 minutes for common stops — hourly along each of the two branches); and
  • 24 South Common.
  • Buses along this route operate every 45 minutes from about 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.:
  • 6 Upper Middle.
  • Buses along these routes operate hourly from about 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.:

    • 5 Dundas;
    • 13 Westoak Trails;
    • 15 Bridge;
    • 18 Glen Abbey South;
    • 19 River Oaks;
    • 20 Northridge; and
    • 28 Glen Abbey North.

  • Buses along this route operate about every 10 to 12 minutes but only during rush hours:

  • 121 Southeast Industrial.
  • Buses along this route operate every 45 minutes but only during rush hours:
  • 34 Pine Glen.
  • Buses along these routes operate hourly but only during rush hours:
  • 10 West Industrial;
  • 11 Linbrook;
  • 12 Winston Park;
  • 33 Palermo;
  • 120 East Industrial.
  • Late-night service leaves Oakville GO Station at at 7:40 p.m.

  • OT is temporarily cancelling service along these routes:

  • 5A Dundas;
  • 26 Falgarwood;
  • 71 White Oaks high-school special;
  • 80 Holy Trinity high-school special;
  • 81N Abbey Park / Loyola South high-school special;
  • 81S Abbey Park / Loyola South high-school special;
  • 82 Loyola North high-school special;
  • 83 T.A. Blakelock high-school special;
  • 84 Oakville Trafalgar high-school special;
  • 86 Garth Webb high-school special;
  • 90 John R. Rhodes Residence seniors special;
  • 91 Oakville Senior Citizens Residences seniors special;
  • 190 River Oaks express;
  • Metro seniors charter; and
  • Oakville Place seniors charter.
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays
  • Buses along these routes operate hourly from about 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
  • 3 Third Line;
