- Simcoe Street North Oshawa (Regional Road 2) between Winchester and Conlin Roads
and its impact on Durham Region Transit and GO Transit services.
Region of Durham contractors are widening and rebuilding the roadway.
The project includes
- removing asphalt;
- grading;
- installing granular base;
- installing curbs and gutters;
- paving;
- replacing storm sewers;
- replacing traffic-control signals;
- installing a water main and a sanitary force main; and
- installing sidewalks and multi-use paths.
Construction on Simcoe Street North and the resulting DRT detours and delays continue until July 31, 2021.
