Brampton Transit passengers can earn free rides every week with PRESTO

Starting today, Monday, July 6, Brampton Transit is launching a loyalty program that allows passengers to earn free rides each week when they pay fares with their PRESTO farecards.

When riders pay for 12 trips on Brampton Transit in a one-week period from Monday to Sunday using their PRESTO card balance, every trip after that is free during that same week.

Brampton Transit says that the loyalty program encourages “contact-less” payment. All riders can earn free trips no matter their age, as the program applies to all fare categories. Transfers and fares paid on other transit service providers and discounted GO co-fare payments do not count towards this program. Weekly passes are still available.

Riders who still use cash to pay for their trips can get a PRESTO card from a Customer Service counter. For a limited time only, Brampton Transit is waiving the $6 PRESTO card fee - one card per passenger. Customer-Service Counters at all Brampton Transit terminals, except for Trinity Common Terminal, are open.

Starting Thursday, July 2, wearing a mask is mandatory when travelling aboard Brampton Transit buses and in BT terminals.

With this program, Brampton Transit is joining other Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area transit agencies in rewarding frequent travellers who use PRESTO.

  • Adults - 37 rides.
  • Seniors - 32 rides.
  • Youth - 39 rides.
