Update — Monday, August 10, 9:35 p.m.: Bridge work near Lake Shore East / Parliament and the resulting TTC detour continue until August 22.

The TTC has informed passengers that, starting Tuesday, August 4, it’s detouring buses along this route, due to “bridge work”:

  • 72B Pape via Commissioners and Queens Quay.

The TTC has not identified the nature of the bridge work. The likely source of the construction is the City of Toronto’s project to upgrade the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway. The work zone may temporarily restrict turns through the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard East with Parliament Street.
