Gardiner Expressway construction: TTC detour, September 26



From 5 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, September 26, the City of Toronto is closing

  • Lake Shore Boulevard East, east- and westbound lanes at Lower Sherbourne Street and
  • Lower Sherbourne Street, north- and southbound lanes, at Lake Shore Boulevard East,

as part of the City’s ongoing project to upgrade the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway.

The work zone blocks north-south traffic and left turns through the intersection.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while parts of the intersection are closed:

  • 75 Sherbourne.

75 Sherbourne

From 5 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. Saturday, September 26, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Sherbourne Street and Front Street East, then detour:

westward along Front East;
southward along Lower Jarvis Street; and then
eastward along Lake Shore Boulevard East to Lower Sherbourne Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Lower Sherbourne.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Lower Sherbourne Street at The Esplanade.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.
