King East Hamilton filming: HSR detours, starting October 31



From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, October 31 and continuing daily, the City of Hamilton is closing

  • King Street East between Jarvis and Mary Streets

to accommodate a film shoot.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 1 King; and
  • 10 B-Line express.

Filming on King East and the resulting HSR detours continue until November 7.


10 B-Line express

From Saturday, October 31 until Saturday, November 7 and from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, westbound buses operate along their regular route to King Street East and Wellington Street, then detour:

southward along Wellington South;
westward along Hunter Street East; and then
northward along John Street South to King East,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on King Street East at Wellington Street North.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

From Saturday, October 31 until Saturday, November 7 and from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, westbound buses operate along their regular route to King Street East and Wellington Street, then detour:

southward along Wellington South;
westward along Hunter Street East; and then
northward along John Street South to King East,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on King Street East at Wellington Street North, Ferguson Avenue North and Walnut and Catharine Streets North.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Hunter Street West at Spring Street, beyond Walnut Street South and at John Street South and
  • on John Street South at Jackson Street East.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.
