Toronto Transit Commission meets (virtually), December 15

The Toronto Transit Commission holds its next virtual meeting Tuesday, December 15 at 10 a.m.

The commission is the TTC’s board of directors. It oversees matters of policy and planning, building, maintaining and operating the TTC system and expanding its services and facilities.

Commissioners include City of Toronto councillors and members of the public.

During this meeting, the commissioners discuss various staff reports and presentations, including:

  • The 2021 annual service plan. (You can read the report here (.pdf).)
  • A report about subway closures in 2020 and a forecast of upcoming closures in 2021. (You can read the report here (.pdf).)
  • The chief executive officer’s report for December 2020 (You can read the report here (.pdf).)
  • “Embrace Diversity”: The TTC’s 10-Point Action Plan and Five-Year Diversity and Human Rights Plan. (You can read the report here (.pdf).)
  • an interim report from the TTC’s external consultant on diversity and inclusion. (You can read the report here (.pdf).)
  • An investigative report into an incident involving TTC special constables and a passengers aboard a streetcar on February 7, 2020. (You can read the non-confidential portions of the report here (.pdf).)

Toronto Transit Commission meetings are public meetings — anyone may “attend” by viewing the meeting. The TTC streams its board meetings on the official TTC Youtube channel.

If you wish to speak to the commission about an item on its agenda during this meeting, complete and submit this on-line form noon, Monday, December 13. TTC staff are distributing a final deputation list at the meeting.

Presenters participate by audio only and must provide a telephone number where staff can reach them at the appropriate time. Presenters may submit a written deputation before the meeting which TTC staff will distribute to TTC Commissioners and senior staff.
