Hurontario LRT: Utility work affects MiWay stops, starting December 19

Hurontario header.jpg

Metrolinx and its contractors continue to prepare for upcoming construction of the Hurontario light rail transit line in Mississauga and Brampton.

Since mid-September, contractors have been relocating utilities

  • on Hurontario Street between Highway 407 and Matheson Boulevard

as part of the LRT construction project. The work zone blocks traffic lanes.

Starting 7 a.m. Saturday, December 19, the southbound MiWay stops

  • on Hurontario beyond Derry Road West (stop #1912),
  • on Hurontario at Longside Drive (stop #3132),
  • on Hurontario at Skyway Drive (stop #1889),
  • on Hurontario at Ambassador Drive (stop #1913) and
  • on Hurontario beyond Prologis Boulevard (stop #0098)

are out of service, due to the lane closures. Use the temporary platforms beside the regular stops to board and exit from buses along this route while the stops are out of service:

  • 17 Hurontario.

Also, starting 7 a.m. that day, the southbound MiWay stop

  • on Hurontario at Courtneypark Drive East

is out of service, due to the lane closures. Use the temporary platform beside the regular stop to board and exit from buses along these routes while the stops are out of service:

  • 17 Hurontario; and
  • 103 Hurontario express.
