Oakville Transit revises services, January 3



Starting Sunday, January 3, Oakville Transit is reducing service levels due to the Province-wide COVID-19 shutdown.

Mondays to Fridays
  • Buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at stops from about 6 a.m. until 11:30 p.m., every 30 minutes during rush hours and every hour from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and after 7 p.m.:
  • 3 Third Line; and
  • 5 / 5A Dundas.
  • Buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at stops hourly from about 6 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.:
  • 4 Speers - Cornwall;
  • 14A Lakeshore West “via Burloak”; and
  • 24 South Common.
  • Buses along these routes serve passengers hourly during most of the day:
  • 1 Trafalgar;
  • 6 Upper Middle;
  • 13 Westoak Trails;
  • 15 Bridge;
  • 18 Glen Abbey South;
  • 19 River Oaks;
  • 20 Northridge;
  • 28 Glen Abbey South.
  • Buses along these routes operate rush hours only:
  • 10 West Industrial;
  • 11 Linbrook;
  • 12 Winston Park;
  • 26 Falgarwood.
  • 34 Pine Glen;
  • 120 East Industrial.
  • OT continues to suspend service along the 14 Lakeshore West “via Great Lakes” and 190 River Oaks express routes. It has combined service along the 33 Palermo route with the 34 Pine Glen route. OT has also replaced service along the 121 Southeast Industrial route with on-demand service.
Saturdays
  • Buses along these routes drop off or pick up passengers at stops hourly from about 7 a.m. until 11:30 p.m.
  • 3 Third Line;
  • 4 Speers - Cornwall;
  • 5 / 5A Dundas;
  • 14A Lakeshore West “via Burloak”; and
  • 24 South Common.
  • Buses along these routes serve passengers hourly during most of the day:
  • 6 Upper Middle;
  • 13 Westoak Trails;
  • 15 Bridge;
  • 18 Glen Abbey South;
  • 19 River Oaks;
  • 20 Northridge;
  • 28 Glen Abbey South.
  • OT continues to suspend service along the 14 Lakeshore West “via Great Lakes” route.
Sundays and holidays
  • Buses along these routes continue to operate hourly during most of the day:
  • 3 Third Line;
  • 4 Speers - Cornwall;
  • 5 / 5A Dundas;
  • 6 Upper Middle;
  • 13 Westoak Trails;
  • 14A Lakeshore West “via Burloak”; and
  • 15 Bridge;
  • 18 Glen Abbey South;
  • 19 River Oaks;
  • 20 Northridge;
  • 24 South Common.
  • 28 Glen Abbey South.
  • OT continues to suspend service along the 14 Lakeshore West “via Great Lakes” route.

Buses do not operate along high-school special, senior special and Oakville Place and Metro charters. OT is also cancelling late-night service.

On Demand service: care-A-van and Home to Hub

due to the Province-wide COVID-19 shutdown, starting Boxing Day, Saturday, December 26, 2020, care-A-van provides service only for essential trips.

  • Essential trips include trips to and from medical appointments, pharmacies, groceries, banking and work.
  • Companions can’t travel aboard care-A-van vehicles.
  • Non-medical masks or face coverings are mandatory.
  • Staff will ask passengers and attendants screening questions at their pick-up location before you can board the bus.
