Starting Wednesday, January 13, the City of Toronto is closing
- The Donway East between Lawrence Avenue East and Don Mills Road [south]
during a project (.pdf) to replace the water main and resurface the roadway.
The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 162 Lawrence - Donway.
Water-main and roadway construction on The Donway East and the resulting TTC detour continue until January 20.
The City previously closed this section of The Donway East to accommodate the same project and the TTC detoured the buses from Tuesday, November 17 until Friday, December 11, 2020.

From Wednesday, January 13 until Wednesday, January 20, westbound buses start their trips on The Donway East north of Lawrence Avenue East, as usually, then proceed:
westward along Lawrence East; and then
southward along Don Mills Road to The Donway,
resuming their regular route southward along Don Mills.Westbound buses skip their regular stops
- on The Donway East across from Don Mills Collegiate and Greenland Road and at Don Mills Road.
Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Don Mills Road at Clocktower Road and The Donway West.
Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.
