Friday, January 22, GO Transit buses trains along the Stouffville line after about 7 p.m. While the line is closed, Metrolinx contractors are upgrading the infrastructure on the line as part of the GO Expansion Program.

The buses that replace the trains don’t stop at Milliken, Agincourt, Kennedy or Scarborough GO stations. The TTC operates near all of these stations, with Line 2 Bloor - Danforth and Line 3 Scarborough trains stopping at Kennedy. Also, if you’re travelling to or from Scarborough GO Station, consider boarding GO trains along the 09 Lakeshore East line.

That evening, GO is cancelling the southbound trains that usually leave Mount Joy GO Station at 8:35, 9:35 and 10:35 p.m. (The trains usually end their trips in Union Station at 9:28, 10:28 and 11:28 p.m.)

It’s also cancelling the northbound trains that usually leave Union Station at 7:14, 8:14 and 9:14 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The trains usually end their trips in Mount Joy GO Station at 8:05, 9:05 and 10:05 p.m.)

It’s also not operating the northbound trains that usually leave Union at 10:14 and 11:14 p.m. (The trains usually end their trips in Lincolnville GO Station at 11:22 p.m. and 12:22 p.m.)

Buses serve passengers at local stops between Railway Street across from Albert Street in Uxbridge and Lincolnville GO Station bus terminal.

Northbound buses leave Lincolnville at 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. They end on Railway Street aross from Albert Street in Uxbridge at 11:50 p.m. and 12:50 a.m.

70D branch

Southbound buses leave Uxbridge at 6:40, 7:40, 8:40 and 9:40 p.m. They end their trips in Mount Joy at 7:20, 8:20, 9:20 and 10:20 p.m.

Northbound buses leave Mount Joy at 7:13, 8:13, 9:13 and 10:13 p.m. They end in Uxbridge at 7:58, 8:53, 9:53 and 10:53 p.m.

Buses serve passengers at local stops between Railway Street across from Albert Street in Uxbridge and Unionville GO Station bus terminal, then operate express - without stopping - to Union Station Bus Terminal.

Southbound buses leave Lincolnville GO Station bus terminal at 6 and 11:05 p.m. and 12:05 and 1:05 a.m. They end their trips in Union terminal at 7:20 p.m. and 12:15, 1:10 and 2:10 a.m.

Northbound buses leave Union at 10:18, 11:18 and 11:43 p.m. and 12:43, 1:43 and 2:43 a.m. They end their trips in Lincolnville at 11:32 p.m. and 12:17, 12:43, 1:43, 2:38 and 3:38 a.m.

71E branch

Southbound buses leave Mount Joy GO Station at 7:40, 8:40, 9:40 and 10:40 p.m. They end their trips in Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

Northbound buses leave Union terminal at 7:18, 7:23, 8:18 and 9:18 p.m. They end their trips in Mount Joy at 8:08, 8:13, 9:08 and 10:08 p.m.

Starting Saturday, January 23, GO replaces trains with buses all day Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and Monday-to-Friday evenings. According to the transit agency, “we are temporarily replacing select GO train service with buses to better match [passenger] demand.” Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of riders aboard GO trains has decreased by more than 90 per cent.

Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Stouffville line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
