Less frequent UP Express service, starting January 23

During the province-wide shutdown due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, public health agencies have recommended limiting travel to essential trips only.

Starting Saturday, January 23, Union Pearson express trains temporarily operate hourly during times when ridership is typically low. Trains continue to operate every 30 minutes during other times. UPX is also shortening the hours of service each day.

Trains leave Union Station at 4:55 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, 5:30 a.m. and every 30 minutes until 9 a.m., then hourly until 3 p.m., every 30 minutes until 8 p.m., then 9 and 10 p.m.

They leave Union at 6 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, then hourly until 9 a.m., every 30 minutes until 7 p.m., then hourly until 10 p.m.

Trains arrive in Pearson Station 25 minutes after they leave Union.

Trains leave Pearson Station at 5:27 a.m. Mondays to Fridays and hourly until 9:27 a.m., then every 30 minutes until 8:27 p.m., then 9:27 and 10:27 p.m.

They leave Pearson at 6:27 a.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, then hourly until 9:27 a.m., every 30 minutes until 7:27 p.m., then hourly until 10:27 p.m.

Trains arrive in Union Station 25 minutes after they leave Pearson.

Due to the pandemic, UPX decreased the frequency of service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes all day every day, starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020
