The Esplanade crane activity: TTC detour, February 19 to 21



From 7 p.m. Friday, February 19 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 21, the City of Toronto is closing part of

  • The Esplanade between Lower Jarvis and Scott Streets

to accommodate contractors who are lifting a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 121 Fort York - Esplanade.

From 7 p.m. Friday, February 19 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, February 21, westbound buses operate along their regular route to The Esplanade and Lower Jarvis Street, then detour:

northward along Lower Jarvis;
westward along Front and Wellington Streets East; and then
southward along Yonge Street to Front,
resuming their regular route westward along Front West.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on The Esplanade beyond Market and Church Streets and at Yonge Street.

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Front Street East at Scott Street, then detour:

eastward along Front East; and then
southward along Lower Jarvis Street to The Esplanade,
resuming their regular route eastward along The Esplanade.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on The Esplanade at Church and Market Streets.
