Geotechnical investigations in Union Station rail corridor, starting March 4

From 8 p.m. Thursday, March 4 until 5 a.m. Friday, March 5 and continuing overnight nightly, GO Transit crews are investigating underground conditions in the Union Station rail corridor between York and Bay Streets, as part of the Union Station Enhancement Project. The project includes building a southern passenger concourse and improving platforms.

Overnight work is necessary during this phase of the project, as crews cannot work safely, while trains are active and operating during the day.

You may notice the crews working on the southernmost track, while you wait for trains on nearby platforms 26 and 27. GO says, “We are doing this work to plan for future improvements at your station. This will not affect how you get on the GO.”

Geotechnical investigations in the Union Station rail corridor continue nightly until March 8 (5 a.m.)
