Metrolinx and its contractors continue construction of the Hurontario light rail transit line in Mississauga and Brampton.

Starting Wednesday, March 10, the work zone for the LRT project blocks parking at Cooksville GO Station.

That day, GO Transit closes the parking lot on the east side of Hurontario Street just south of the tracks, so crews can store construction materials.

Metrolinx is upgrading Cooksville GO Station, as part of the GO Expansion Program. In fact, the transit agency officially opened the new station, Tuesday, November 10. Nevertheless, some construction continues

Since “the week of May 4”, GO has closed all parking spaces on the main lot west of Hurontario Street, as contractors resurface the lot. GO says that ample space, including carpool and accessible parking spots, is available in the parking garage. The parking lot remains closed until further notice.

GO says, “There is still plenty of parking available for you at the station.”

Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Milton line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).
