From 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, the City of Hamilton is closing
- Mount Albion Road between Cherry Hill Avenue and Hixon Road
to accommodate Canadian Pacific Railway contractors who are maintaining the tracks of the Hamilton Subdivision.
The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 11 Parkdale.

From 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Mount Albion and Albright Roads, then detour:
eastward along Albright;
northward along Quigley Road; and then
westward along King Street East to Lawrence Road,
resuming their regular route westward along King East.Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Mount Albion Road at Cherry Hill Avenue and beyond Hixon Road.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Quigley Road across from Albright Road and at Angus Road, Pinard Court and King Street East and
- on King Street East across from Quigley Road and at Gailmont Drive, Pottruff Road South and the Red Hill Valley Parkway.
Southbound buses reverse the northbound detour routing.
Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Mount Albion Road beyond Hixon Road, across from Cherry Hill Avenue and at Albright Road.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on King Street East beyond the Red Hill Valley Parkway, across from Pottruff Road South and Gailmont Drive and at Quigley Road
- on Quigley Road beyond King Street East, across from Pinard Court and Angus Road and at Albright Road and
- on Mount Albion Road beyond Albright Road.
