Starting Monday, March 22, TTC track crews are repairing a stretch of concrete in the streetcar right-of-way
- on Church Street south of Dundas Street East.
Crews are:
- excavating the concrete;
- removing the old concrete; and
- placing new concrete.
The work zone restricts traffic to the curb lanes and may prevent motorists from turning left onto or off of Church. The City of Toronto is temporarily prohibiting parking near the work zone. City staff will post “Emergency No Parking” signs in the area Sunday, March 21.
Crews are on site starting 3 a.m. Monday, March 22 to establish a safe work zone. They’re breaking concrete from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. that day.
Crews will pour and place new concrete Monday evening and overnight. They’ll leave the concrete for 24 hours to cure. They’ll remove the work zone by 5 a.m. Wednesday, March 24.
The TTC does not operate regular service along this part of Church Street, so the project does not affect passengers.
