St. Elizabeth Village Hamilton construction: HSR detour, April 1, 2



From 7 a.m. Thursday, April 1 until 7 a.m. Good Friday, Friday, April 2, the management of St. Elizabeth Village retirement community are closing

  • Sister Elizabeth Way between Garth Street and Sister Varga Terrace

during a construction project.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 35 College.

From 7 a.m. Thursday, April 1 until 7 a.m. Good Friday, Friday, April 2, inbound buses start their trips in Glancaster Loop, then proceed:

northward along Glancaster Road; and then
eastward along Rymal Road West to Garth Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Garth.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • at Gibbons Square,
  • on Sister Elizabeth Way across from Sister Varga Terrace and
  • on Garth Street at Rymal Road West.

Instead, inbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • in Glancaster Loop,
  • on Glancaster Road at Rymal Road West and
  • on Rymal Road West across from Meadowbank Drive, at Upper Paradise Road, Da Vinci Boulevard and Garth Street.

Outbound buses revere the inbound detour routing.

Outbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Garth Street beyond Rymal Road West,
  • on Sister Elizabeth Way at Sister Varga Terrace and beside the pharmacy and
  • at Gibbons Square.

Instead, outbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Rymal Road West beyond Garth Street, at Spadafara Drive, Upper Paradise Road and Meadowbank Drive and across from Glancaster Road and
  • in Glancaster Loop.

northward along Glancaster Road; and then
