The Esplanade / Berkeley area filming: TTC detours, April 1, 2



The TTC has announced that, from 7 a.m. Thursday, April 1 until noon, Good Friday, Friday, April 2, it is detouring buses along several routes off The Esplanade and Berkeley Streets to accommodate a film shoot.

It’s detouring buses along these routes:

  • 65 Parliament;
  • 121 Fort York - Esplanade; and
  • 365 Parliament overnight.

121 Fort York - Esplanade

From 7 a.m. Thursday, April 1 until noon, Good Friday, Friday, April 2, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Front Street East and Berkeley Streets, then detour:

westward along Front East; and then
southward along Princess Street to The Esplanade,
resuming their regular route westward along The Esplanade.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Berkeley Street beyond Front Street East and at The Esplanade and
  • on The Esplanade at Princess Street.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Princess Street at The Esplanade.

Eastbound buses reverse the westbound detour routing.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on The Esplanade at Hahn Place and
  • on Berkeley Street at Front Street East.

365 Parliament overnight

From 7 a.m. Thursday, April 1 until noon, Good Friday, Friday, April 2, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Front Street East and Princess Street, then detour:

westward along The Esplanade to Lower Sherbourne Street,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Princess Street at The Esplanade.

Northbound buses start their trips on Front Street East at Lower Sherbourne Street, then proceed:

southward along Lower Sherbourne;
eastward along The Esplanade;
northward along Princess Street; and then
eastward along Front Street East to Berkeley Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Front East.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Princess Street at The Esplanade,
  • on The Esplanade at Hahn Place and
  • on Berkeley Street at Front Street East.
